For some 15 years, Armstrong Vets has proudly provided veterinary services to local charity Teckels Animal Sanctuaries.

Teckels is a rescue and rehoming centre for dogs and cats, situated a few miles away in Whitminster, Gloucestershire.  The fantastic Teckels team care for, rehabilitate and rehome a wonderfully varied array of dogs and cats, and we are delighted to be able to help them achieve their impressive charitable goals. 

The services we provide include:

• health checks and vaccinations
• surgical procedures
• managing ongoing medical conditions
• carrying out health checks prior to rehoming
• twice weekly visits to the centre

Teckels has a non-destruction policy – meaning they will never euthanise an animal other than for health reasons – for they believe that all animals deserve the chance of a happy life, even if that means staying with them for a longer period.

Popular boarding and ‘doggy daycare’ facilities help bring revenue into the charity, and Teckels has many loyal supporters and volunteers to its name.  Fundraising activities are fun and frequent – with this year’s 20th birthday celebrations already in full swing!  But expenses run to some £45,000 per month, so there is always room for more donations.
